Current status: Beta first, major expansion later

Official sources describe two stages of Endless Mode rather than one delayed feature:

Stage Officially stated status
Launch build Developer announcements describe an unfinished Endless Mode Beta with infinite Nights, unlocked after completing Story Mode
After launch The developer says the Beta will receive continuing updates and a major content update after release
Q4 2026 Steam advertises a planned free major Endless Mode update with exclusive customers, weapons, traps, monsters, and more

This distinction resolves an apparent wording conflict. The July 19 and July 21 developer announcements include the Beta in the full-game description. The Steam store separately promotes a larger Q4 2026 update. The safest interpretation is a launch Beta followed by substantial free expansion—not that every advertised Endless feature is available on day one.

The live mode menu remains the final authority once the game unlocks. This page will not claim the Beta is playable until the released build can be checked.

Unlock requirement

The stated route is to complete the 13-Night Story Mode. The developer does not describe a demo save, partial campaign, or platform entitlement as an alternative unlock.

That placement makes Story Mode the training route for station work, customer investigation, profit pressure, defense, and story choices before an open-ended run. Use the 13 Nights overview for the spoiler-light campaign boundary.

What “infinite Nights” confirms

The phrase confirms an open-ended Night structure. It does not publish the underlying scaling rules. Until the live Beta is tested, this manual will not invent:

  • quota curves or difficulty multipliers;
  • a maximum Night number;
  • permadeath, prestige, or retained progression;
  • leaderboards or special rewards;
  • exclusive spawn rates or equipment stats;
  • solo and co-op balance differences.

Those details require repeated runs on a recorded build because a single randomized Night cannot prove a universal rule.

Planned exclusive content

The Steam listing names customers, weapons, traps, and monsters as categories for the planned Q4 major update. The developer’s release-date announcement also mentions additional ways to detect doppelgangers and continued Endless development through the rest of 2026.

“Exclusive” indicates content associated with Endless Mode, but the public material does not name every item or publish stats. Each future record will need its acquisition method, effect, limits, mode availability, and build ID before it enters the database.

Verification queue after unlock

  1. Confirm whether the launch menu exposes Endless Mode before Story completion.
  2. Complete Story Mode and record the exact unlock message.
  3. Capture starting inventory, quota, shop, and save behavior.
  4. Repeat early Endless Nights to separate stable rules from random events.
  5. Compare solo and co-op sessions on the same build.
  6. Recheck all claims after the first content patch and the Q4 major update.

Start with Gameplay Loop & Station Systems for the mechanics that transfer into either mode.

Roadmap Note: Q4 2026 is a planned window, not a guaranteed day. Launch-Beta availability and later expansion content are tracked separately.
