Roadmap at a glance

This page separates released features from intentions. Developer announcements can establish direction, but dates such as “shortly after launch,” “a few weeks,” and Q4 are planning windows rather than guarantees.

Window Publicly announced scope Current evidence boundary
Launch 13-Night Story Mode, a handful of endings, solo/three-player co-op, launch platform pools, pets, and an unfinished Endless Mode Beta after Story completion Store and developer announcements; live build still pending verification
Launch or shortly after Steam-only public server browser Developer target, not a confirmed live menu item
A few weeks after release Major free content update expanding Story and Endless with customers, weapons, and enemies No exact date or item list published
Through 2026 Continuing Endless updates, including customers, traps, and more detection methods Categories announced; individual data not published
Q4 2026 Major free Endless update with exclusive customers, weapons, traps, monsters, and more Steam roadmap window; subject to change
Later Broader crossplay beyond the launch platform pools Planned by the developer; no public date

What belongs to the launch record

The launch announcement describes Story Mode as 13 Nights with multiple endings. It also places an unfinished Endless Mode Beta after Story completion. A separate pets announcement says the opening story begins with choosing a cat, husky, puppy, or goose and earning medicine money during the first three shifts.

Those statements establish feature categories, not every rule. Night objectives, ending triggers, medicine cost, mode unlock text, and live server-browser availability still require the released build. See 13 Nights Overview, Pets & Medicine, and Endless Mode Beta for their narrower verification queues.

First free content update

In the final pre-launch posts, the developer said work had already begun on a free update intended to make both Story and Endless scarier. Another release announcement describes a major content update a few weeks after launch with expanded customers, weapons, and enemies.

The wording does not prove a fixed release day, named patch, or exact quantity. This wiki will treat the update as live only when a platform patch note or changed game build can be observed. Equipment and entity records will be revised individually rather than assuming every announced category arrives together.

Endless expansion through Q4

The public roadmap describes continuing work on the Beta across the rest of 2026. Steam specifically advertises a major free Q4 update with exclusive customers, weapons, traps, monsters, and more.

That makes Q4 a major expansion milestone, not necessarily the first moment an Endless menu exists. The Endless Mode record tracks the launch-Beta and Q4 claims separately to avoid turning two official statements into a false either/or choice.

Multiplayer work after launch

Launch compatibility is split by storefront ecosystem: the developer says Xbox console and Xbox PC/Game Pass players share one pool, while Steam players initially play with Steam players. Broader crossplay is planned later.

The developer also targeted a Steam-only public server browser for launch or shortly after. “Targeted” is the important boundary. Until the live Steam build exposes that browser, players should not use it as a purchase assumption. See Multiplayer & Crossplay for the current matrix.

How this roadmap is maintained

  1. Every roadmap claim keeps its original official source URL and verification timestamp.
  2. Relative windows remain relative; they are not converted into invented calendar dates.
  3. A shipped feature moves to the relevant gameplay page with the observed build ID.
  4. Delayed or changed plans remain in this record with corrected language.
  5. Community reports can identify what to test, but cannot independently promote a planned feature to “released.”

Roadmap Note: Plans can move without making the original announcement dishonest. The current store page, patch notes, and live build take priority when they conflict with an older target.
